    Summary & General Purpose


    Provides comprehensive technical support for district technology systems, infrastructure, instructional technology, and cybersecurity. Installs, onfigures, maintains, and supports computers, mobile devices, networks, cloud services, classroom technology, and security systems while delivering exceptional customer service to staff and students.


    Essential Duties:

    • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Windows, ChromeOS, macOS, and mobile devices.
    • Support Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Office Suite, Google
    • Workspace for Education, identity management, and user accounts.
    • Deploy and manage Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
    • Install and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure including routers, switches, access points, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and fiber connectivity.
    • Support cybersecurity through endpoint protection, MFA, content filtering, vulnerability remediation, backups, and incident response.
    • Maintain classroom technology including interactive displays, projectors, audio systems, printers, and AV equipment.

    Qualifications:


    Graduation from high school, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Science. Two to four (2-4) years of experience in a full-time position performing the above or related duties. Preference may be given to applicants with relevant experience working for a Utah school district. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


    Knowledge, Skills & Preferred Certifications:


    Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, MDM, AV systems, customer service, and technical documentation. Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Google Workspace Administrator, Scripting

  • Data Entry Specialist

    Emery County School District

    has an opening for a 29.5 hr/Week Data Entry Specialist

           

    Summary & General Purpose:


    Provides basic technical reporting requirements as well as data entry & system maintenance for all District technology operations.  


    Essential Duties May Include the Following:

     

    • Accurately enter, update, and manage student information, attendance, registration, personnel, or financial data into district databases and software systems.  
    • Create, format, update, and maintain complex spreadsheets or other software platforms. 
    • Track district metrics, inventory, or operational schedules.
    • Data Verification and Auditing: Audit incoming data for errors or omissions; cross-reference entries against source documents to ensure high data integrity and compliance with state and federal reporting standards.
    • Run routine and custom reports from database systems and compile summary sheets for administrators and state reporting requirements.
    • Organize digital files and maintain physical archives in compliance with record-retention policies and privacy regulations (FERPA).
    • Assist administrators, school secretaries, and staff with data retrieval, troubleshooting basic data errors, and administrative office support.
    • Perform year-end data rollover tasks, clean up archives, conduct physical and digital audits, and prepare administrative systems for the return of school staff and students.


    Qualifications:


    General:  Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Strict adherence to student privacy regulations (FERPA) and district confidentiality protocols.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essential functions.


    Education:  High School diploma or GED required. Preference may be given to applicants with post-secondary training in information technology or a related field.

    Knowledge:  Knowledge of advanced Google and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel with skills in creating/formatting spreadsheets, managing large datasets, using formulas, data filtering, and removing duplicates.  Knowledge of common software programs with ability to learn specialty programs used by District and/or schools.  Skills & Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.  Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.   VI. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and move about the work area; use hands to handle, finger and feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.

    The Emery County School District has openings for Regular Route and Relief Bus Drivers


    Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

    • Transport students to various activities; monitor activity and behavior to assure safety; may administer routine discipline as needed to maintain order and safety.
    • Perform basic pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles; assure proper fuel and other fluid levels; complete various travel records and log and sign-in sheets as required.
    • Participate in various traiing and workshop activities related to operating standards, processes and procedures.

    Qualifications

    •  Must possess a valid Commerical Drivers License, have a clean driving record, and be willing to operate a school bus during various weather extremes and highway conditions.
    • At least 21 years of age and meet related criteria as described under "Standards for Utah School Buses and Operations".
    • Sufficient education to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform necessary duties, and at least three years experience in driving, preferably in multi-passenger vehicles - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Successfully pass required driving competency tests leading to the acquisition of required licensing.
    • Knowledge of: 1) geographical region to be driven; 2) state highway and driving laws; and 3) vehicle operation and safety regulations.
    • Ability to establish effective working relationship with supervisors, co-workers, parents and students.
    • Ability to demonstrate maturity in dealing with various child and adolescent behaviors.

    Once an individual has completed the course, they can print out their completion certificate and bring it in to the district to qualify for the additional $5.00 per day from that point on.


    There are four different options, choose the one that best fits your needs.  Currently the price for these different options are: $39.95 for either basic course A or basic course B. $59.95 for the Premium course, and $79.95 for the Ultimate course. Emery School District will accept any of these options.


    SubSkills training is not required to be a substitute and is at your own cost.
